Jack Crooks' Page

Jack’s interest in currency markets goes back to his first job out of college as a corporate financial analyst, many moons ago. It was then when he realized currency fluctuation can have huge financial impact for companies operating overseas. Yet oddly, very few knew, and many still do not know, much at all about this vast and seemingly hidden world – the foreign exchange market. He has been studying this market ever since. He has traded and advised clients in the currencies arena for over 20 years.

Jack is president of Black Swan Capital LLC, a global investment advisory firm specializing in spot forex, currency futures and currency options. He was founder and principal of Ross International Asset Management and General Manager of Plexus Trading, a discretionary money management firm. Ross International specialized in global stock, bond, and currency asset management for retail clients. Additionally, Jack served as Chief Currency and Futures Strategist of M2 Futures Inc., an investment boutique headquartered in Chicago. He also held the position of Vice President of Global Strategic Research for an international investment boutique where he was responsible for providing daily advice and global strategy analysis.

Jack received his Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Florida State University in 1980. Shortly thereafter he went on to earn his Masters of Business Administration degree, with a concentration in finance and economics, from the University of North Texas. He has held various securities licenses. He is married and has four children.
