Congratulations! You’ve now closed six winning positions in a row since the start of our Apex Alert strategy. Just this week, we locked in a 2.8% gain on Curtiss-Wright Corporation (CW) and a 13.8% profit on Synopsys, Inc. (SNPS).

Before we take a look at our open positions, I’d like to share some of my responses to questions we received this week.

We are still holding two positions in our Apex Alert portfolio and expecting new trades in several weeks. Curtiss-Wright Corporation (NYSE: CW) announced that it will release its fourth quarter earnings after the close on February 14. Management will hold a conference call to discuss the results the next morning. We are scheduled to close our position at the open on February 14.

I have a quick update for you this week. Right now, we’re still holding two positions in the portfolio. Curtiss-Wright Corporation (NYSE: CW) shows a small gain, 0.88% at yesterday’s close. This is substantially better than the broad market. The S&P 500 Index has been flat over the time we’ve held CW. Stocks that outperform broad averages tend to continue outperforming the average. That’s the basis of relative strength strategies. This is bullish for CW, which we’ll keep in the portfolio for several more weeks.
