Twenty-seven months ago, I sent you the first recommendation in the history of Green Zone Fortunes PRO. It was June 17, 2024. The stock was SIGA Technologies Inc. (SIGA). You paid $6.60 a share. I still remember writing that report. SIGA made one drug, TPOXX, the first drug the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) ever approved to treat smallpox.

Last Thursday at 12:55 p.m., an email came in from a reader who’d written to me before. Not to say nice things. His words, not mine. He had emailed us “a time or two” when he thought we’d mishandled a promotional event, and by his own admission was “pretty candid and harsh.”

On March 27, 2000, Cisco Systems (CSCO) closed at $80.06 a share. That day, it was the most valuable public company on Earth. Two days earlier, it had passed Microsoft (MSFT), reaching $579.2 billion compared with MSFT’s $578.2 billion. Everyone owned it. Pension funds owned it. Index funds owned it. Your neighbor owned it and told you about it over the fence.

Cast your mind back to April 2025. The tariff headlines hit like a fire alarm. Stocks fell for days. Red numbers everywhere you looked. Your neighbor sold. The guy on TV told you it was 2008 all over again. And somewhere around that Friday, a little voice whispered the two words that have wrecked more portfolios than any market crash ever did: Sell everything.
