Welcome to another PRO Day! A hint of “cautious optimism” is in the air with the SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY) rallying almost 2.5% higher over the last five trading days. But I’d be remiss if I didn’t point out that the CBOE Volatility Index (VIX) is still eight points above its 2025 low. That tells me there is a hint of volatility still in the air.

Welcome to another PRO Day! I do want to thank everyone who took part in our PRO Live session last week. We covered a lot of ground, including our most recent Rogue Portfolio trade — OceanGold Corp. (OCANF). We also hit on our most recent Apex Calendar actions, which included a pair of trades — selling Cavco Industries (CVCO) and buying F5 Inc. (FFIV).

Before I get into today’s PRO Day update, let me address what’s happened in the market over the last 24 hours. The S&P 500 closed up Wednesday, but the Trump administration’s reciprocal tariffs plan sent markets into a tailspin last night. The S&P 500 was down more than -4% during trading this morning, and the tech-heavy Nasdaq and small-cap Russell 2000 were both down more than 5% and 6% respectively. But I don’t think it’s time to panic. There are still many unknowns related to these tariffs, and the market is only digesting what it thinks they mean.
