Buying a home is foundational to the American dream. But for those younger generations who have the dream just within their grasp, the homebuying experience is full of obstacles. Not only have home prices outpaced inflation by more than two times over the last 50 years — not to mention the explosion since COVID hit — the average mortgage interest rate has doubled in the past year. At the same time, the supply of homes is nowhere close to meeting the demand.

If there’s one good thing about this bear market, it’s how it exposed Wall Street for what it always has been… One tremendous game of greased palms and shameless self-interest.
