A few weeks ago, we took some downtime to discuss why we exit put-write trades “early,” rather than waiting for them to expire. You can review that issue here. The benefit of keeping the trade open longer is that, much of the time, we could watch the contract expire worthless, thereby increasing the amount of profit, in dollar terms, we capture.

Last Tuesday, we initiated two new put-write trades – one on ServiceNow Inc. (NOW) and the other on Bloom Energy Corp. (BE). We’re still holding the NOW trade, and there’s nothing you need to do with it at the moment … On the other hand, it took us only two days to lock in an annualized rate of return of 140% on the BE trade … making for our 41st consecutive winner with this strategy!

Well, that was quick … Shares of Bloom Energy Corp. (BE) have traded higher yesterday and today following our entry into a bullish put-write position on Tuesday. Returning to the trade details I initially shared, we were targeting a 10.2% annualized return (AROR) over a maximum of 66 days on this trade:

It’s only been a week and two days since I recommended adding two put-write positions to your portfolio – one on Coinbase Global Inc. (COIN) and the other on Carvana Co. (CVNA). The good news is… we’ve already exceeded our annual rate of return targets for both. For COIN, we were positioning for an AROR of 15%… and for CVNA, our goal was 20%.
