It’s Time to Short the Technology Sector

Last week, the SPDR Technology Sector ETF (NYSE: XLK) climbed higher for five straight days. It was a sharp move up, at almost 9%. But yesterday, the rally began to lose steam. Shares of XLK made a slight new high during the day but ultimately closed in the red. And today, after attempting to make a new high, shares of XLK flopped and are trading near their lows for the day. At last glance, shares of XLK are down about 1.9%, the second-worst performer of all the sector ETFs I track.
