Shares of Urban Outfitters (URBN) have jumped more than 20% higher this morning in reaction to the company’s latest earnings report. This is a highly favorable move for us, as we just made a put-write trade on the stock on Tuesday. URBN’s rally all but guarantees we’ll walk away with a profit on this trade, though the puts we sold don’t expire until June 20, and there’s little sense in waiting that long to close the trade.

After clearing the decks last week, it’s time to begin populating our portfolio again! Today, I have two new put-write trades for you to establish. We’ll position ourselves to take advantage of elevated volatility in two stocks that are scheduled to report earnings over the next month.
