I hope you’re as excited to be in the market as I am! The September pullback tested the resolve of “weak hands.” So kudos to you for staying strong. It’s clear that the pullback is behind us now.

This might sound extravagant, but I’d like to know… Did you invest $49,234 (or more) in the Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund (NYSE: XLY) call options I recommended on September 7? It’s a large amount of capital for an options trade, so I won’t be offended if my inbox hears crickets on this request.

I don’t recommend that we take any actions today. The broader market pulled back in September, and October has been lackluster so far. I’m waiting to see how the broad market shapes up this week before we make our next move. Nothing unusual is going on. Markets move in fits and starts.

Stocks are getting rocked today. Taking the brunt of it is the Nasdaq 100, which is down nearly 3% as I write. The 10-year Treasury rate fell to 1.2% this summer. I predicted rates would pull back to around 1.2% when they hit 1.7% back in April. But now, rates are back on the rise.

(Nasdaq: NTAP), the Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (NYSE: XLK) and Johnson & Johnson (NYSE: JNJ).
