Hello and welcome back to Superforecast Trader! My forecast for last week’s jobless claims hit the bullseye dead-on — just 1,000 jobs shy of the 231,000 new claims announced last Thursday. We also saw a solid win on the second half of last week’s trade. This week, we’re back … with a new forecast, and a new trade for you. Matt Clark has the specifics for this week’s trade below, but first I wanted to answer a few of your questions on the forecasting side in today’s video.

Hello and welcome back to Superforecast Trader! Matt Clark is out for the remainder of the week, so I’ll keep today’s trade alert brief… It’s been a busy 24 hours for markets, with Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell delivering the highly-anticipated first rate cut of 2025.

Last week’s trade was a roaring success… After entering our Super Divergence trade on Tuesday, we managed to close out the first half of the trade on Wednesday (less than a day later) to lock in a 134% return. Then on Thursday, we closed out the second half of our trade for a Superforecast Trader record 174% gain!
