I mentioned in yesterday’s sell alert how I expected we’d likely take home a slight win this week. That turned out to be the case come 2 p.m. Eastern time, as we made our official exits. Though it was only a scant win of 1.2%, so let’s call it a “scratch” trade.

I mentioned in yesterday’s sell alert how I didn’t expect to take a large loss this week. That turned out to be the case come 2 p.m. as we made our official exits. We took a scant 2.5% loss on Macy’s Inc. (NYSE: M), made a small 13.6% gain on Petroleo Brasileiro S.A. ADR (NYSE: PBR) and took a larger 30% loss on Cameco Corp. (NYSE: CCJ).

Congratulations! Two of our three trades paid out this week. We bounced back nicely after not trading last week due to President’s Day… Leading into Wednesday afternoon we saw a bullish move on American Airlines (NYSE: AAL) and particularly strong price action on the VanEck Vectors Gold Miners ETF (NYSE: GDX) call options we bought Monday afternoon.
