We won’t take much of your time today. Our contributors wanted to wish you a few quick words.

Expert Charles Sizemore:

Let me start by wishing you a Merry Christmas. Or a late happy Hanukkah. Or if you’re a Seinfeld fan or a pre-Christian Roman pagan, a festive Festivus or a super Saturnalia. Whatever you’re into!

Just try to stay safe. Beyond the obvious COVID-19 fears, everything is riskier these days because the hospitals are at capacity, and the staff is worn out. So, again, let’s try to be careful out there.

Things will get better. We just need to be smart until they do.

Chief Investment Strategist Adam O’Dell:

Merry Christmas, and happy holidays!

I hope you enjoy the season as best you can, despite the continuing difficulties with COVID-19. Even at a distance, we can all still celebrate our most cherished traditions, both old and new.

I’m looking forward to some new traditions and plenty of joyous moments. This will be the first Christmas for my wife and me with our newborn son! He may be too young to truly enjoy the holidays — or to rip open the number of presents he’ll see under the tree — but it’s a warm and welcome change to our usual plans in an unusual year.

I’m thankful for each and every one of you. I sincerely appreciate your interest in my work and your loyalty throughout the years.

I appreciate the kind words you’ve all shared with me over the news of my son. Like this note from Jack S., who wrote:

Adam,

I always enjoy reading what you have to write about, but the news of your new family addition is especially great. I wish you and your wife all the best and a healthy sharing of all those diapers you’ll need to change.

While it’s only been a couple of months, I think my wife and I both have changed plenty of diapers already! Thank you, Jack!

Research Analyst Matt Clark:

First and foremost, I hope our entire Money & Markets family has the happiest of holidays, even with the challenges COVID-19 has presented.

But this holiday season, I find myself thinking more about what’s ahead than what is behind us.

I believe 2021 is going to be a great year for all of us, and I am so appreciative, not just of our team here, but of all of you.

We have much more in store for you in the coming year. We can’t wait to provide you safe, sound and profitable information in the new year. I hope you are enjoying this holiday season — whether you’re traveling or staying home. I hope you and your loved ones are safe.

A final housekeeping note: We’re taking a break from Money & Markets Daily for the next three days as our team is out of the office.

So, if you don’t hear from us on Friday, Saturday or Sunday, that’s why.

We’ll be back on Monday.

Again, we hope your holidays are filled with love and happiness.

Regards,

The Money & Markets Team
