In terms of user experience, there are generally two ways a put-write trade can unfold – the “easy” way and the “hard” way. So far, roughly 90% of the 38 put-write trades I’ve recommended have gone the easy way.

There are bad days … and then there are bad days. Last Thursday was a decisively bad day for the mega cap Magnificent 7 tech stocks, with the group shedding an astounding $787 billion in market capitalization over the course of a single session. The selloff was sparked by news of surging capital expenditures — with Alphabet (GOOGL) alone on track to spend $200 billion building out its AI capacity in 2026.

The Netherlands just extended their historic World Cup winning streak — now up to 16 consecutive winning matches over multiple tournaments. That means they haven’t lost a game in regulation time since the 2010 final! Our own put-write strategy is likewise “undefeated,” with a 100% win rate across 32 profitable trades.

Here at home, we’re trying to teach our five-year-old, and to a lesser extent his three- and two-year-old siblings, that with the right mindset there is always a silver lining in “bad” situations: an opportunity to learn.
